Beginning: Inroduction to Computers - Keyboarding

This is a class designed for beginning users. This competency-based course introduces students to careers in the technology field and the wide variety of skills related to the myriad of jobs available. This course includes an overview of career possibilities, hardware, software and security issues, & basic troubleshooting. Integrated throughout the course are career preparation standards which include basic academic skills, communication, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, workplace safety, technology, and employment literacy.
Concentration 1: Office Computer Applications

Open Source and Proprietary Office Application Programs.

Concentration 2: Digital Media Applications for Business Entrepenuership

Exploration of a variety of software applications in support of Business Entrepenuership.

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker. Premier. Year Two or “Advanced Computers” allows students to expand their knowledge in an area of interest, be it programming, computer graphics, animation, video editing, computer building, networking, or robotics.
